Before we go into details of "How do i set up Two-Factor Authentication?"


This is how our Two-Factor Authentication works.

1) Login into your client area on our website.

2) You enter the 6-digit code that is displaying on Google Authenticator app.

3) Your logged in.

It is as simple as that!

We highly recommend all customers to use our Two Factor Authentication to your advantage. This system adds an extra layer of security to your account. While we do and always will do keep encryption and security the highest priority for us to making sure your data and hosting data is always safe, this is now down to you to do your part to keep your account safe at all times.


It is simple to activate this service on your account. Please follow the steps below. You can also use the images below for reference. (Please note some information on the picture have been blurred out to protect customer data) 


1) Login to your account. (You can do this by clicking here)

2) On the left-hand corner click the menu where it says Hey, (your name)

3) Then click on Security Settings (Or just click here to head straight to this page)

4) You will see the message “We strongly encourage you to enable Two-Factor Authentication for added security. Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of protection to logins. Once enabled & configured, each time you sign in you will be asked to enter both your username & password as well as a second factor such as a security code.” To start just click the “click here to enable”

5)  Then click “Get Started”

6) Download Google Authenticator (click here for more information) if you have not done so already. Then go onto the app on your mobile device and click the + (top right) then select “Scan Barcode” Scan the barcode that is displayed on the page on our website.

7) Once scanned you will see HallsHosting then your email address on the app. On the web page click “Confirm”

8) Enter the 6-digit code that is displaying on Google Authenticator app then press “confirm” on the web page.

9) You will then get a page saying, “Key Verified Successfully” It will also display a backup code, please make sure you written this down and store it in a safe space.

10) Then you’re done! Next time you login to your account after entering your email and password you will then have to enter the 6 dig code displaying on the app.


Some important parts to point out regarding our Two-Factor Authentication

  • You can use the Google Authenticator app on more than one device, e.g. iPhone and iPad.
  • Always make a copy of your back up code, just in case your device gets stolen, has ran out of battery or forgotten to pick it up or anything else you can think of.
  • If you can’t login to your account and if you have forgotten your mobile device, there is no battery left or you have lost your back up code then please get in touch with us so we can remove it from your account.
  • On the security page please make sure the questions and answers are being used and up to date. This will be used as well as a number of other things before we can remove the Two-Factor Authentication from your account. We do reserve the right not remove the Two-Factor Authentication from your account if you have not filled in the security questions or answer the correct details if you can't access your account.
